Is It Time to Admit the 2020 Election Was a Fraud?

Those who have not been memory-holed will recall that the bellwether route was one of the most glaring issues with the 2020 presidential election

Of the twenty odd counties that typically vote for the winner of the presidential election, only three got it right. Anyone who knows much about electoral politics knows that this just doesn’t happen. But in 2020, we weren’t allowed to question anything, much less something of this import.

The standard explanation was that bellwethers just come and go and it was all part of it

But, like most defenses of the 2020 election, it failed to grasp the nature of the metric.

Bellwethers As Metrics

Bellwethers are not just lucky as the 2020 apologists had it, but are made of up the kind of social and cultural fabric that reflects the whole of the country.

They tend to pick the president, not because they have access to some fancy statistics calculator or because they’ve got elite friends in high places.

They tend to pick the president precisely because they don’t. They’re middle as can be with preferences that reflect the diverse and sometimes divided nation as a whole.

This is why we see most of these counties do not stick with one party. Like the country as a whole, they switch from Republican to Democrat and from Democrat to Republican based on the candidate who speaks to them—Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump.

This is of course an average and the bellwethers do not always get it right. But over the years—and increasingly in the last ten elections—they have been very consistent.

The Cover-Up Trumps the Scandal

In 2020, the bellwether route really raised eyebrows, but, as it was with most questioning of the election, it was discarded as conspiracy theory and election denial.

But, now that we’ve had another election, it is plain to see that those conspiracy theorists had a real reason to question the election results. Combined with the more than 15 million votes that appeared out of nowhere for Biden and then all but disappeared for Harris, the bellwether route was something that should have led to investigations and legal action.

Of course, the power-drunk establishment and the globalist media-academia-big-tech-military-corporation-industrial complex would not allow it for a second. They had gotten what they wanted and gaslighted the Trump-weary public into going along with the narrative.

When the legacy media outlets reported on this story this week, they framed it as, “the last true bellwether got the election wrong.” The assumption is that all of the other bellwethers struck out in 2020 and only one remained. Still gaslighting.

In fact, the bellwethers did get it right in 2020, just as they have for 75 years.
